Newboy Review

I watched a short film called Newboy and I really enjoyed it because of how much I can relate to it. It is about a kid from Africa named Joseph goes to an irish school where it is a total change for him.

I think the short film was very good because of how I can relate to it.I know what it is like to be a new kid in school and not know a thing that is going on in that school. I was just like Joseph because I would not talk with anyone for awhile because I knew no one. I would be just like Joseph when he sat in his desk in the movie and did not even bother talking with anyone. I wonder if Joseph has been to any other schools before? I have been to so many different schools in my lifetime so far. I don't care what people say going to all these different schools is not easy because of all the friends you made in the old school and now you are leaving. I remember when Joseph had flash backs of talking with his friends and I had flash backs of my friends as well such as talking with them.

Why do people always pick on the new kid? This question is what has been around a long time with no definite answer. I remember when just like Joseph I was treated a little different at some schools I went to such as like in the film people bother you for no reason when you are just trying to fit in. I remember when it was lunch time I would mostly keep to myself by sitting by myself. The first thing I did was find a table and sit by myself in order to observe others.

Overall, this little film was very good because of how someone who has been to a new school can relate to Joseph. This short film would be best shown to those who need someone to relate to who has been from a familiar environment to a totally different one.

March reading report

I am now doing my reading report for the month of March. The one and only book I read was the book Dragon Champion  by E. E. Knight and it was a really great book. The book was a total of 597 pages and I now want book two now.

"I like how I can relate to the dragon in certain ways"

The book Dragon Champion begins with a baby dragon just coming out of it's egg. And I think baby dragons are so cute with their big eyes just staring at you. Anyway, the baby dragon is a grey dragon who was named Auron. I have never really heard of a dragon that is gray and scaleless before but I still think it is cool because I would wonder what a dragon without scales will look like. The just born dragon Auron already had to defend himself when one of his brothers a red comes to take the egg shelf. I think the egg shelf is where the strongest sibling of a dragon clutch goes to show dominance. Auron's brother tried to come up after him but fails and then we then get to meet Auron's parents. His father's name is AuFel and his mother's name is never mentioned throughout the book. I wish I could have known the name of his mother because you think they would both be important. Auron also had a sister named Wistala and another named Jizara. One day Auron's father AuFel shows him a storage of gold and treasure he has had for I guess a few years.

One day Auron hears a boot hit water and there is a group of dwarves with weapons and he sees his copper brother who had lured the assassins to the lair. I thought what and ungrateful little brat to bring people to kill his own family. Auron manages to escape the dwarves and go find his mother but he was not fast enough because the dwarves beat him to his mother. The dwarves beat him and manage to kill his mother. I know what it is like to lose your mother it had to be terrible for Auron to realize what happened.

Auron and Wistala are the only one of the sibling dragons to escape and Auron saves his dad when he sends a mental picture of what happened. Auron and Wistala travel for awhile and Auron makes a decision when they hears elves nearby. Auron tells Wistala to go on without him in order to protect her. I  was speechless when Auron said he would do that to protect his sister that is so sweet. Auron is later captured by the elves and is sent in this ship where he meets an elf named Hazeleye. In his time in the boat Auron meets two dragons and one is a female named Natastach and the silver is not known until later on in the book. Auron escaped the ship with the help of Hazeleye and goes on swimming through the water. He was about to make it on land when a drake who was not very nice forced Auron on and Auron is saved by swimming dolphins. It seems obvious not all dragons are nice after what that drake did and man I wanted to punch that drake in the face. Auron continues to go find his dad and his sister.

Auron later ends up in a group of ships and meets someone named Naf who helps Auron escape. Auron goes on and meets a pack of wolves who welcome Auron in when he defeats one in a battle. The wolf pack is called the DawnRiders and they escort Auron through the forest that is in his way. Auron carried on and later comes across a dwarf named Djer. The two of them become very close friends as Djer tells Auron about the charted dwarfs, who are a group of wealthy traders, and thanks to Auron helping with a trade and Djer becomes a member of the charted dwarfs. Auron had saved the dwarves trade when some people from another place try to steal everything. Djer tells Auron about a black dragon named NooMooak who lives in a desert. Auron searches through the deserts and meets with Naf again. He has a girl named Heiba who travels and becomes a close friends and together they find NooMooak and learn much from him. Auron sends Hieba back to live with humans and Auron stayed with NooMooak when one day the dragon goes crazy. Auron ran and defeated NooMooak with his smartness. Auron stays in the lair of NooMooak for a few years and is later reunited with Hieba and she and Naf are in love. Hieba tells AuRon(his name changed because he is a full fledged dragon now) about how the queen of the land where AuRon lives wants to see him.

The queen tells of a dragon army and wants AuRon to investigate. AuRon thinks about it and goes to the Isle of Ice where he meets the wyrmmaster who tells AuRon about his plan about the dragons. AuRon meets the dragons blades son and I was shocked because I though it was his dad. I'm sorry I forgot to tell you AuRon had fought his dad years before. AuRon reunites with Natastach and they discuss a plan to escape. When the dragon blade goes to get eggs from a female they attack and win. AuRon fights the silver dragon, his name is Starlight, he met years ago and wins. AuRon and Natastach go to the wyrmaster but the guy kills himself when the two dragons arrive. The book ends with Auron and Natastach having babies and they are getting ready to hatch. I felt happy for them both. I wonder if AuRon will ever see his sister or dad again?

I would recommend this book to anyone who loves fantasy and for dragon lovers. I would also recommend this book to tennagers because a little kid could not read the book.

"This was made by someone from devianart that shows what they think AuRon would look like...I like that picture".

"Who can hate dragons?"

Second chances for homeless people

I think that the people who deserve a second chance are the homeless people or poor people who are not pretending to be poor. I think these people deserve a second chance because they deserve to be able to live a full and happy life. I want a second chances fro the homeless people because I feel sorry for them and want them to know that they are still precious human beings just like everyone else. A homeless person deserves a second chance because they have a right to happiness just like everyone else. I also want the homeless people to feel that just because they are poor they are not hated by everyone and everything. I think homeless people deserve a second chance because if they are your friends or family. This is why I believe the homeless deserve a second chance

reading report-February Darkfire Review

The book can be hard to understand sometimes.
I LOVE dragons:)
I am now doing my February reading report on the book Dark Fire by Chris D' Lacey and it was 597 pages. I really enjoyed this book.

The book begins with a girl named Lucy writing a journal about her life. She writes how she is a descendant of Gawain, a dragon, and she writes about her life. How her family have fought these mysterious beings called the "Ix" which exist in human thought. The story goes on to Lucy and the family going on a trip and Lucy is very terrified because she does not know who she really is. This is because she is a descendant of a dragon and she was born from an egg supposedly. I would LOVE to be a descendant of a dragon and actually be one.

When they get home they talk about a guy named David. He was an old tenant that used to live in the house but had mysteriously disappeared in the Arctic. Liz, who is Lucy's mother, assures her that everyone goes through this phase in their life. Arthur, Liz's husband and Lucy's father, tells how David never really existed in the first place because he is a fain and was brought into the world thanks to Arthur writing his life story. The fain are the good guys and they live in human thought. I am still confused about the Ix and fain and I have read all the books.

Zanna, a girl living with Liz, and her daughter Alexa are upstairs and Alexa is getting a bath. Zanna hears a noise and sees David down stairs and gets mad. The reason was because David had come back out of nowhere and Zanna is angry because David just came out of nowhere after being gone for five years and Zanna was mad how David did not raise his girl or be their for them. What could David do about being gone for so long?

Later on Zanna and Alexa are on their way to Zanna's shop when they are mysteriously attacked by ravens. Zanna is saved by Tam Farell, a friend, who once was a reporter who was the first one to tell Zanna how David does not exist in the third or fourth book. Tam Farell helps Zanna back to Liz's house and they head in to talk with Liz and Agatha, Henry Bacon's sister and Henry had died earlier, Agatha teaches Zanna some magic because Agatha is a sibly or magic user. I was pretty impressed when I learned Agatha was a Sibly

David then goes to Africa to talk with Sophie, his first girlfriend, but, did not get there fast enough because when he arrived a building exloded and Sophie was killed.since she was near it. David then finds Sophie's dragon is the same way. David tells Liz what happened in Africa and is shocked about what happened to Sophie and about how Sophie's dragon Grace shed her fire tear or life esscence. They perform a ritual that revives Grace and trhen Dark Fire, the most dangerous substance, comes out and goes into Liz who passes out. I am amazed at all the things that have happened to Liz in every book.

David then tells Lucy and Tam to go to Scuffenbury in order to see if a dragon and unicorn are there as arumor says. Lucy and Tam arrive in Scuffenbury and stay at this inn. They meet an old lady named Ms.Gree and a girl named Hannah who shows them around. I was suspicious of Ms.Gree when I first heard about her.

The story goes to David and Zanna. Zanna tells David how nothing seems to be workingg to cure Liz. David tells Zanna how the baby is manipulating the Dark Fire somehow. I don't understand how a baby can handle the most dangerous thing in the universe.

The story goes to Tam and Lucy and what had happened with them. Lucy had this nightmare where a raven had Gwillain's, Lucy's grandma, face. Tam appeared in the room to see if things are alright and then Ms.Gree walks by and goes to the bathroom. Ms.Gree must be talking with the Ix because that is who I think she could have talked to. Lucy and Tam go to the hill Hannah had talked about one time. I learned Ms.Gree was a sibly when Tam and Lucy took their first visit to the hill where Ms.Gree moved a bunch of rocks with magic. Tam and Lucy are later took into a secret tunnel by Hannah in order to awaken the dragon Gwaine.
The trip did not turn out well because Ms.Gree shows up and separates Tam and Lucy. Ms.Gree dies because some celling collapsed and dragon urine fell on Ms.Gree and killed her. I learned dragon urine has no effect on descendants of Gwain. The dragon Gwaine awakens and she looks at Lucy with the intention of killing. I was shocked to learn about Gwain's mother Gwaine.

The story goes to David and Zanna and they talk about what will happen when the dragon awakens. They realize Lucy has red hair and this is bad because many years ago a with with red hair messsed with Gwaine and she never found the witch. David and Zanna are about to leave when Agatha Bacon comes to the door. Zanna is relieved to have someone watch over Liz with Arthur. Agatha was actually Gwillan in disguise and she goes into Liz's room where she is asleep. Arthur tries to stop her but uses magic and stops Arthur in his tracks. Gwillan tells how she  can get rid of the Dark Fire and it seemed to backfire. I think the reason Gwillan died was because the Dark Fire was just too dangerous to control. Serves Gwillan right for all the trouble she had caused for everyone.

Lucy manages to survive the dragon Gwaine's wrath by singing a song and awakens the unicorn. David and Zanna arrive later and someting bad happens. A darkling is born from a raven and attacks everyone. The darklings put up a good fight but do not kill G'lant and Gwaine. Gwaine sends the Ix to the center of the earth with her and destroys  them and gets revenge for her lost sons. Alexa does a strange thing and teleports everyone to a new world. The book ends with "In the last dragon chronicles: And in the beginning was the word and the word of Gadzooks, David's dragon, was "sometimes". I wonder where everyone went?

I would recommend this book to high school boys and girls because even thought a lot of things are confusing in this book it really has those really tense moments where there is pure tension. I would also recommend this book for dragon lovers.

Revenge is a double-edged sword

"Hey," said the Lion "I have 10 cents and I want to trade that for your dollar."

"Why?" said the Little Rabbit "My dollar is worth more than 10 cents"

The clever Lion said "Actually, 10 cents is worth more than a dollar because 10 is greater than one."

"Really?" said the Little Rabbit "Then take the dollar"

"Thank you very much," said the Lion "I enjoyed our little trade."

The little Rabbit headed home with a smile on his face. "Mom," said the Little Rabbit, "I got 10 cents for a dollar. "

The Rabbits mom said "Honey, you were tricked by the Lion because a dollar is worth more than 10 cents."

"Aww," said the little Rabbit, "What do we do mommy?"

"We get revenge," said the Rabbit Mom, "Let's go."

The mother and her child came up with a rather clever plan. They put a dollar on a fishing pole and lured the lion with his greed. The lion followed the line and fell into a mud puddle.

"My beautiful mane," cried the Lion and ran off.

The mother and her baby went off laughing and having a good time on their way home

January reading report-The Dragon book-review

I have read only one book in january and that was The Dragon book edited by Jack Dann and Gardner Dozois with a total of 437 pages total. The book is a collection of famous dragon stories that are all really good. I will do my review on the story called "Are you afflicted with dragons?" in the book. The story is about a hotel owner who has a huge problem. The problem is that the owner has a huge dragon infestation and they have become a problem since they could collapse the roof with all their combined weight and they poop and pee. The dragons even make more babies in the roof which increases the population. If you want to learn more about dragons click the link:) Definition of words potion, a medical or poison beverage and apprentice, someone who works for a set time to learn a trade.

"Dragons need love as much as we do"

The Smith's are the hotel owners and they get into an argument over how to get rid of the dragons. Smith's wife talks about some stranger who can get rid of the dragons. Smith-who is a stubborn man-goes to a store where a clerk talks about this stuff that repels dragons and kills them. I would personally NEVER want to kill any kind of dragon, especially, the babies. When Mr.Smith got home he put a bucket of stuff in a tree. The stuff failed and Smith is very angry and goes back to the store and gets his money back. Mr.Smith goes out to find the stranger who his wife says can get rid of the dragons. He finds him and tells the man about his problem with the dragons. The man and his apprentice agree to help Smith under some conditions. The man says "Whatever I find in the dragon colony I keep such as valuables ect." Smith agrees and the man in his apprentice set out with cages in order to trap the dragons. The man and his apprentice get rid of the dragons by using this dragon they have to attract them and used a potion to get them in the cages. The plan worked and the dragons are soon put in cages and the man even cleans the Smith's hotel of poop and stuff. The problem was that the man had found a ring that belonged to Ms.Smith and he reminded the Smith family that he could keep whatever he found in the roof. The Smith's tell the man if he gives back the ring then they will make him and his apprentice a special dinner. The man and his apprentice has dinner with the Smith family and the man talks about how he got into the dragon capture business when he would take treasure from dragons as a boy. Some time later Mr.Smith sees the apprentice without his master and asks "Where is your master?" the boy replied "That potion my master used on the dragons makes them smarter and so...my master got eaten."

I would-out of respect for the dragons-let them out into the wild and not keep them in the cage and keep them in it. I was amazed how many dragons were in the Smith's hotel. I would LOVE to live in a hotel filled with dragons and call it "Drago Hotel" and my slogan would be"Welcome all dragons, to a place where you can just hang out and relax." I would recommend this book to anyone who likes fantasy stories and dragons in general.

Thanks for reading

How the Zebra came to be

Once long ago there was a named Steel who was not afraid of anything. He was a very strong person-able to lift two tables with one hand-and already was able to beat over half the men in his village in arm wrestling in his village. His mother's name was Sarah and his father's name was Luke. Steel was raised by his mother since his father went out on a mission one day for the king and never returned. Steel was kind of the outsider since his father could be dead and with dad gone money became a problem and Steel and his mom went poor.  Steel one day decided that he was sick of all the problems him and his mom were facing and decided to run away. Steel's best friend Trace found out about his plan to run away.

"So..." said Trace "You truthfully are leaving, aren't you?" "Yes" said Steel "My mom can hardly support herself, much less both of us." "I understand Steel, but, have you thought what will happen to your mom if you leave?" said Trace "She will better support herself with the money she makes on her own." said Steel  We walked down the street of our town of Tmur and it was twilight outside. The town was a bustling town full of rich snooty kids and their parents. There were buildings all over the place made of sparkling silver colored bricks and those golden doors with the crystal knobs. The places people like Steel and Trace lived were hardly big enough for two people. The houses were made out of moss covered wood and very fragile doors and the doors were flammable.

The next day Steel went around town in order to find a map of the land so he knew where towns were and stuff. Steel got lucky because there was in merchant in town because of a huge shopping season. The merchant smiled and said "Welcome young man, what are you wanting to buy?". "I would like to know how much that map is good sir" said Steel "That map will be 7,500 loots, young man."What?" said Steel "That is an outrageous amount for a map" "Take it or leave it" snapped the merchant Steel-who was a clever boy said "I heard that lamp you have is a family treasure and a person in the rich part of town who will give one million loots to have it back" "Really?" said the merchant who was shocked "That much for a little lamp" "You better hurry" said Steel "The people who want to buy the lamp are about to leave for a vacation" The merchant was as fast as a cheetah and left in order to sell the lamp. "What an idiot" said Steel as he took the map "I didn't even tell the merchant who it was that was going to buy the lamp."

Steel gathered up all his supply of food and other things and headed for the town gate. Steel remembered  that guards are stationed at the gate around the time it starts getting dark. Steel knew he could not fight the guards because if  he did he would be swarmed by other guards in seconds. Steel was in luck because a wagon with a huge pile of hay in the back was passing by. "Excellent" said Steel "I will hide in that hay pile to get out of here."

Days and night passed as Steel rode in the wagon unnoticed by the group of people driving the wagon. The wagon stopped at many towns along the way. Steel used his map often in order to find out where the wagon was. One town that the wagon stopped at was Coralpia, home of the mermaids, where Steel had many interesting conversations with them. One conversation was about something called the "ocean" which the mermaids described as the "watery blanket of earth" that allows life to survive. The wagon stopped at Veldana, home of the summoners, who were people that could conjure ancient beasts from out of nowhere. Steel learned the summoned monsters where rumored to live in a place called Tomark. The summoners talked about how, just like humans and everything else, the summon monsters could reproduce and have children. This explained to the summoners how their children could summon much smaller monsters then their adult sizes. One summoner talked about how the summoned beasts could shape shift and have kids with a human. The summoners think this is way some of their kids have strange physical parts not found on humans such as a griffons tail.

The wagon finally arrived in the town of Ruba where Steel decided to live here. The town of Ruba was a beautiful town with all kinds of job classes such as merchants and mages. Steel got a job in mining and he loved the job. The pay was good and everyone was very nice and welcomed him into the mining family.

One day as Steel was working Diana, the goddess of love, came toward Steel with a request. "Could you please help me Steel?" said Diana "My little dragon wants a boyfriend but can't seem to get the one she likes to come out of his lair to meet her." "Of course I will help" said Steel since he owed Diana a favor because it was because of her Steel got a job in mining.

Diana teleported Steel in front of the male dragons lair and said "Good luck Steel" and left him there. Steel entered the dragons lair and he meets the male dragon. "My name is Trage" said the dragon "I know what you want and I will go see the girl Quire if you answer my riddle." "Sounds fair, let me have a shot at it" said Steel "Bring it." "Very Well" said the dragon "I lust, cause wars, hatred, sorrow, courage, will power,  what am I?" Steel thought about it for awhile and came up with his answer "The human heart" said Steel. "Correct" said Trage "I will so if Quire and I are...destined for each other."

Several years later Steel was sitting in his house writing a letter telling his mom how he was doing. Steel learned that Tmur had a new King who was so kind to the people there was literally poor people in Tmur, only the middle and rich classes, and Steel's mom and Trace are doing wonderful. Steel also heard       that Quire had just became pregnant with her first baby from Trage and they named his Vale. Diana decided to make a skin for a horses made from the exact design on Steel's black and white striped blanket. The horse had babies and they became known as Zebras and they bred and came to be what they are today. Steel lived a long good life and had four very healthy babies off his own from this girl he fell in love with in the mines. Steel died at the age of one-hundred and sixty years old and his long life was a blessing from Diana for doing her the favor and another reward was the creation of the zebra to remind everyone what Steel did for her.
